Tapping Sponge Iron and other ingredients in a close requisite ratio are charged in the arc furnace. Sponge Iron is melted in the Electric Arc Furnace. Refining and de-slagging ensure removal of impurities like Sulphur and Phosphorous thereby giving clean steel for casting to billets. Molten steel is then casted to billets of desired lengths.
